“CYBER CRIMES AND SOCIAL MEDIA”...

The Addl.Director General of Police, P & L, A.P.Police Sri V.S.K.Kaumudi, IPS attended as Chief Guest to the Inaugural function of the four day training on “CYBER CRIMES AND SOCIAL MEDIA” to the trainee Cadet Sub-Inspectors at the CID building, AP CID, A.C.Guards, Hyderabad.

 While addressing the cadets, he stressed on the need to maintain the chain of custody while gathering electronic evidence and subsequently linking it to the accused.  He said that crime scene should be well protected so that the evidence is not tampered with and investigators should take due precautions while collecting the evidence.  

 He said that the burden of proof is on the investigators and prosecution should prove the guilt of the accused beyond reasonable doubt to get conviction in the court of law.  He added that the course content is well laid out and gives a good introduction to the Cadet SIs to the field of cybercrime investigation.  He urged the Cadet SIs to continuously upgrade the skills to become better investigators.

 He further congratulated the cyber crime wing of CID, AP for successfully conducting the programme.  Sri Sunil Kumar, IPS, IGP, CID, Sri Atul Singh, IPS, IGP Trainings, Sri Kanthi Rana Tata, IPS, SP, CID were present on the occasion.
