GREATER HYDERABAD MUNICPAL CORPORATION

Dr. B.Janardhan Reddy, IAS C & S.O. GHMC said, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is planning to provide basic Civic needs like drinking water facility, lighting, toilets, canteen facilities with proper maintenance of all this needs in all the Major parks in the GHMC Jurisdiction. To improve the civic needs in all the parks the C& S.O. has inspected Jalagam Vengala Rao park, Pungajutta along with Urban Bio diversity officials in the morning here today.       

 During interaction with the officials at the park the C & S.O. said that the GHMC is having major parks and 800 small parks where every need is there to provide basic minimum facilities in all the parks for which he has given certain directions to all the officials of Urban Bio-Diversity. The C& S.O. desired that on the same lines has being done by the sanitary workers on Parichaya krakramam be taken up in all the parks duly furnishing the names of the officials, mobile numbers to be displayed on the parks so that the citizens will have an idea for proper coordination for overall development of the parks. 

The C& S.O. instructed the officials to involve the Residential Welfare Associations duly conducting regular meetings at the park to solve the problems which are being faced on priority. He also stressed to install CC cameras in all the parks to curb anti-social elements and also to construct the compound walls on all open spaces of the GHMC lands duly planting samplings to take up greenery.  And also to take up maintenance works of children playing materials at the park.

    Keeping in view of poor monsoon, the officials must proper care towards samplings duly providing water wherever necessary and also to improve greenery in all graveyards. The C & S.O. desired to take up nursery with a 10 acres of land situated at Fatulla guda in East Zone with the capacity of raising 5 lakhs samplings  nursery. He also opined that rain harvesting pits be provided in all the parks where HMWB & SB will also provide sufficient funds.

  The C& S.O. also interacted with the representatives of walkers Association and in response to their plea he has assured that all the problems will attend on priority.

 Additional Commissioners Sri. Siva Kumar Naidu, Sri. N.Ravi Kiran, Zonal Commissioner (C Z) Sri. Gaurav Uppal, Sri. Damodar Director Urban Bio diversity and senior officials GHMC have attended the programme.
