PRESS RELEASE....... the GHMC vehicles will get diesel and......

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and Indian Oil Corporation have entered an agreement that here after all the GHMC vehicles will get diesel and other oils directly from the IOC for which two department officials have held a meeting at GHMC Head Office today.

This process will be started from 17th of December 2015 for which around Rs. 1.6 crores will be saved to the Corporation every year. At  present the GHMC is issuing around 30,000 litres per day to the garbage lifting vehicles. At present the GHMC is providing diesel to the vehicles through a private petrol bunks with coupons by giving the same to the IOC the GHMC is benefiting Rs. 1.40 paisa benefiting for each litre around Rs. 43,000/- is being saved per day and around Rs. 1.58 crores per year the GHMC is benefited. 

The IOC authorities assured the Commissioner from 17th of December 2015 the diesel will be issued in one of the transfer station and remaining two transfer stations will be issued by this month end and further assured that the existing transfer station will be modernized duly taking of maintenance works. 

 

COMMISSIONER'S GHMC APPEAL TO THE PETROL BUNK OWNERS FOR PROVIDING TOILETS IN THE PETROL BUNK

Sri B. Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner & Special Officer GHMC has requested the IOC authorities to provide public toilets in the IOC petrol bunk for which the authorities have assured that they will provide necessary arrangements, the Commissioner further   appealed all the petrol bunk owners in the twin cities to provide toilets for the convenience of the customers and the citizens and join hands with the GHMC to provide minimum civic needs. 

The Commissioner further requested all the Organisations to allot 2% of their earnings as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for providing toilets under   Swachh Telangana - Swachh Hyderabad programme to the citizens as the requirement of the toilets are very much in need. 

Sri M.V.S. Rajulu, DGM, IOC, Sri N. Ravi Kiran, Additional Commissioner (H&S), Sri Samba Siva Rao, Deputy Manager, IOC, Sri P.R.S Srinivas, Chief Medical Officer, IOC, Sri Anil Raj, Chief Transport Officer, GHMC and senior officials have attended the meeting.
