TWO NOTORIOUS SNATCHERS HELD
SEIZED 800 Grams GOLD ORNAMENTS
On 16.11.2015, on credible information the Commissioner’s Task force, East Zone Team,
Hyderabad City, apprehended two most wanted & Notorious Snatchers namely viz., 1) Habeeb
Abbas @ Shaikh Faizan @ Faizan Hussain shaikh @ Abbas and 2) Habeeb Hassan @
Shadan Hussain Shaikh at Narayana Concept High School, Street No.11, OU Sity, Hyd, who
committed (25) cases of Chain snatchings in Hyderabad City and recovered gold ornaments
whg. about 800 Grams and one Honda Shine Bike, from their possession.

1) Recovered about 800 grams Gold Ornaments
The accused Habeeb Hassan and Habeeb Abbas both are brothers and temporarly
residing at Aurangabad and are doing cloth business for eking their livelihood. They are
notorious property offenders involved in several cases of House Burglaries, Chain Snatchings,
Robberies, Ordinary Thefts and etc.,. They are habitual offenders and are wanted in several
cases. They were earlier arrested by Police, for their involvements in thefts.
Habeeb Hassan and Habeeb Abbas select the locked houses while moving in the
localities and break open the main door locks and latches with the help of rod/cutter in the
absence of inmates and committed theft of valuable items i.e., Gold Ornaments, net cash and
etc., from the Almirahs. They shared the booty equally and spent lavishly. They also committed

release from jail, they again started committing snatchings in twin cities and other places. They
used Bajaj Pulsar and Honda Shine bikes in commission of snatching offences. They mostly
select ladies walking and also traveling on bikes in lanes and by lanes in isolated places, and
target the victims from behind and in opposite directions. They ride the bike in a very high speed
and slow the bike near the victim and commit snatchings of gold ornaments from the victims and
On 17-7-2015, while the complainant P.Sanjay along with his mother Smt P.Sumitra
(Deceased), aged 40 yrs, Occ: Attender R/o Lalaguda, were proceeding on bike, when they
reached near Law College, OU campus, meantime Abbas came on Bajaj Pulsar Bike and
snatched his mother’s Gold chain whg. about 35 grams from the neck of his mother and his
mother fell down on the road from the bike, due to which she received severe head injury and
On 16.11.2015, on the tip off from Sri G. Suresh, PC 3419, Commissioner’s Task Force,
East Zone Team, Hyderabad, apprehended the above accused at Narayana Concept High School,
Street No.11, OU Sity, Hyd., and recovered gold ornaments of 800 grams and 1-Honda Shine
The arrested accused were handed over to SHO, OU Sity PS, for taking further action
Repeat professional offenders involving in large number of chain snatchings will be
booked under PD Act thereby preventing them from committing further offences.
The above arrests were made by Sri CH. SRIDHAR, Inspector of Police, East Zone Task
Force Team, with the assistance of SI’s Sri A. Sudhakar, Sri S. Shekhar Reddy, Sri. A. Ravi
Kumar, G.Rajulu, and the staff of East Zone Task Force Team and his staff under the close
