Anti-Corruption Raids on NIMS Ex-Director Dharma Rakshak House
Criminal Case Booked for Embezzlement

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided the house of the former director of
NIMS Dr. A. Dharma Rakshak in Hyderabad in the early hours of Thursday.
Simultaneously, raids were conducted on the houses of NIMS additional
superintendent Mukund Reddy, financial consultant Sridhar and two other
equipment suppliers situated at seven different places. Dharma Rakshak's
house is located at Road No.7 in Banjara Hills while others live in
Jubilee Hills and Ashok Nagar.
The ACB officials confirmed to media
that a criminal case was booked against Dharma Rakshak, two officials of
NIMS and two others who supplied medical equipment during 2011-13.
Dharma Rakshak was removed from the post of NIMS director some time back
following complaints against him about large scale misuse of funds to
the tune of Rs3.00 crore. The ACB found several documents related to
property registration on Dharma Rakshak and family members.
