CYBERABAD POLICE ARRESTS NOTORIOUS CHAIN SNATCHERS
RECOVERS 1.14 KGS GOLD IN 46 CASES
In an unprecedented and relentless fight against chain snatching offences, Cyberabad Police nabbed notorious chain snatching gangs and recovered 1.14 Kgs of Gold Ornaments in 46 cases.
- Malkajgiri Police arrested (02) Chain Snatching Offenders and (01) PC who assisted and abetted commission of 5 chain Snatchings in Cyberabad ( (03) cases of Malkajgiri PS, (01) case of Nacharam PS and (01) case of Medipally PS) and recovered 10 Tolas Gold, (01) Hero Honda CBZ Bike and (01) Nokia Phone with Idea Sim Card.
Details of the Accused:
A1 : Mohammed Ahmed S/o Md. Yousuf, Age: 27 Years, Occ: Painter r/o Shareef nagar Colony, Sriram Nagar, Borabanda, Hyderabad.
A2 : Mohammed Farooq, S/o Mohammed Rasheed, Age : 35 Years, Occ: Auto Driver r/o Madannapet, Hyderabad N/o Rakasipet, Badi Masjid, Bodhan, Nizamabad.
A3 : Mohan (2005 Batch Police Constable, Hyderabad City Police).
INVOLVEMENT OF CONSTABLE MOHAN OF HYDERABAD CITY COMMISSIONERATE.
Konduru Mohan S/o P. Brahmam, Age: 31 Yrs, Occ: Police Constable (PC-6056) of Hyderabad Commissionerate r/o Bahadurpally of Dundigal, presently staying at Manikonda, Gachibowli. He was recruited as a Civil Constable in the year 2005.
While he was working as a Crime Constable at Narayanaguda PS, he developed close intimacy with the accused Farooq while he was in custody of Narayanaguda PS. After remand, the PC visited Jail for a “ Mulakath” with the offender Farooq and he himself arranged Bail expenditures and co-operated to release him on bail. After releasing Farooq, said PC insisted him to commit theft for fulfilling the expenditures, which he has spent for his bail, for which Farooq asked to release his co-offender Ahmed. As such the said PC approached Ahmed at “Jail Mulakath” and also arranged bail for him. After getting both the offenders released on bail, the said PC illegally provided them one CBZ Bike which was an abandoned vehicle of Narayanaguda PS and also arranged one Nokia Phone with Idea Sim and encouraged them to commit Chain Snatchings.
Accordingly, the accused Farooq and Ahmed committed (03) Snatchings in Malkajgiri PS area, (01) in Nacharam PS area and (01) in Medipally PS area. The stolen property was distributed between the offenders Farooq, Ahmed and the said PC.
(10) Tolas Gold, (01) CBZ Bike (used for Committing Snatchings) and (01) Nokia Phone with Idea Sim Card was recovered from the accused.
- Another Notorious Irani Chain Snatcher by name A1: Waseem Osman Sayed S/o Osman Sayed aged : 30 Yrs Occ: Auto Driver r/o Subedari Basti, Sreerampur Town, Ahmednagar District, Maharashtra was apprehended by CCS Malkajgiri Team of Cyberabad Police and on interrogation the accused confessed to have committed (22) Chain Snatchings in the limits of Cyberabad Commissionerate along with his associate A2: Hyder Gareebshah Irani (Absconding) r/o Irani Basti, Sreerampur Town, Ahmednagar District, Maharashtra, Both of them committed many Chain Snatchings in Pune, Shirdi, Ahmednagar, Nasik and in some places of Tamil Nadu.
Gold Ornaments weighing 43.5 Tolas were recovered from his possession and 22 cases ( (05) cases of KPHB PS, (04) cases of Malkajgiri PS, (02) cases of Dundigal PS, (02) cases of Chandanagar PS, (02) cases of Uppal PS, (03) cases of Medipally PS, (01) case of Medhcal PS, (01) case of Pet-Basheerabad PS, (01) case of Kushaiguda PS and (01) case of Jagatgirigutta PS ) have been detected.
- Finally, one Notorious Chain Snatching offender by name Dommata Ramprasad @ Ramu S/o Ramulu Age: 37 Yrs Occ: Rice Business r/o Papi Reddy Colony, Chandanagar, Ranga Reddy District was apprehended by CCS Kukatpally Team of Cyberabad Police and recovered (60) Tolas Gold in (19) Snatchings committed by him in the limits of Cyberabad, Hyderabad Commissionerates and Medak District.
The accused committed (04) cases in Sanathnagar PS, (03) cases in Balanagar PS, (02) cases in Chandanagar PS and (01) case of Jagatgirigutta PS of Cyberabad Commissionerate. (04) cases in Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar PS of Hyderabad City and (05) cases in Ramchandrapuram PS limits of Medak District.
