* Police today arrested a Ghanaian drug peddler and five students for
allegedly selling the contraband narcoticshere. Police seized 48 grams of cocaine and 207 LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide) “stamps” from their possession.
* One person died on the spot when a bus hit a two-wheeler from behind on
which the victim was travelling. Manoj Pamej (43), who runs a Furniture Shop at Somajiguda, was proceeding towards Khairatabad.
* Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand on Friday suspended
one Sub-Inspector Saidulu of Vanastalipuram Police Station for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs. 8000/- from a Fair price shop owner and also accepted bribe in letting off the accused by not arresting in another case.
* In an appalling incident occurred in Chanchalguda Jail, an undertrial prisoner
attempted suicide. According to details rowdy sheeter Ramesh who was imprisoned in Chanchalguda Jail for past few days gulped down a pointed nail.
* Woman who was undergoing treatment after attempting suicide succumbed to injuries.
According to details, 30-year-old Jeeta had a row with her husband on domestic issue.
* The custom officials at RGI airport had arrested a passenger who was in possession
of 500 grams gold. The said passenger had arrived from a Singapore flight.
