The LB Nagar Division crime team nabbed three notorious offenders of Irani Snatching gang   in a joint operation of LB Nagar and Saroornagar Detective Inspectors under the supervision of DCP LB Nagar and ACP L.B. Nagar. 

 

The names and addresses of the gang as follows (.)

1)    Fathe Akram Ali s/o Akram Ali, aged 23 yrs, Occ: Sun Glasses Sales Man, R/o near Saraswathi Mandir & Park Saraswathi Nagar, Katol of Nagpur Dist Maharashtra State

2)    Hyder Akram Ali s/o Akram Ali, age 20 yrs, Occ: Sun Glasses Sales Man, R/o Kalika Nagari, Hosangabad Dist, Dehathi Thana, Madhya Pradesh State, N/o Near Saraswathi Mandir & Park Saraswathi Nagar, Katol of Nagpur Dist Maharashtra State

3)    Javeed Ali @ Jaweed s/o Muslim Hussein, age 35 yrs, Occ: Artificial

          Diamonds Business, R/o Back side of Azak transport, Koluvapet,

          Abhampur Vill, Ayyapur Thana, Mujhapur Dist of Bihar State, N/o

          Barhampur Vill, Bharampur Thana, Mujhapur Dist of Bihar State.

4)    Khalander s/o Shameem Hussein, age about 24 yrs, R/o Shanti Nagar,

Hosangabad of Madhya Pradesh State.    (Absconding)

5)    Bolu Afsar Ali s/o Afsar Ali, age about 25 yrs, R/o Eedga, Hosangabad of

Madhya Pradesh State.                            (Absconding)

        The Gang committed as many as (32) Chain Snatching Offences in the limits of various Police Stations LB Nagar Zone of Cyberabad Commissionerate. 

The brief history of Irani gang:

v  During 16 to 18 centuries, Mogals regime the Irani ethnic group migrated from Iran and settled in India at various places. During Mogals period these people used to be called ” Men of swords”.

v  The following are the some Irani habitations  in India  1. Bidhar (Karnataka State )  2.  Gulbarga ( Karnataka State)  3. Parli ( Karnataka State)  4. Basavali ( MH )  5. Katol (MH)  6. Loni ( MH)  7. Amboli (MH)   8. Ghatkopar (MH)  9. Bevandi (MH)  10. Kalyani (MH)  11. Hosangabad (MP)  12. Pipariya (MP)  13. Bhopal (MP)  14.  Pune (MH). Apart from these there are several settlements in India at various places. Generally they migrate from one place to another to avoid police surveillance.

v  The Irani people are committing several types of property offences by forming separate gangs. This notorious Irani Gangs committing snatching offences in dangerous manner. Apart from this, they are also committing pseudo police offences, diverting attention offences and ATM cheating offences etc in Cyberabad and Hyderabad Cities and other major cities in India.

                                                                                

v  The above five member gang belongs to Katol of Maharashtra State and Hosangabad of Madya Pradesh State. All are close relatives. They are addicted to luxurious life and all vices by spending huge amounts of money.  Since their earnings are not sufficient to meet their lavish expenditure, they intended and decided to commit property offences and snatchings to gain easy money. Earlier, they used to commit snatching offences in UP and Bihar states but they were not getting good  quantity of gold from the victims. Meanwhile they came to know that in Hyderabad ladies wear more quantity gold ornaments on their person. As such they decided to commit snatching offences in Hyderabad and other south Indian cities.

v  The above Irani gang comes to Hyderabad by train from Hosangabad and Katol and get down at Railway Stations. From railway stations, they take the bikes, which are already parked in the parking place of Railway Station and move in the City and commit snatching cases.   After committing the offences they retreat to their native places by parking the motor cycles in the same place, by train.

v  The gang commit 3 to 6 snatching offences at one go by moving on motor bikes.  The pillion rider snatches chains from the neck of lonely women while other accused drives the Motor cycle.

v  Thus both A-1 to A-5 had committed as many as (32) Chain snatching offences in the limits of Cyberabad Commissionerate by moving on Pulsar & Unicorn  motor cycles from 2014 to till date. 

v  Efforts are on to nab the notorious absconding snatchers Khallender and Bolu Afsar who are suspected to involved in several snatching cases of Hyderabad and Cyberabad Commissionerates.

PROPERTY RECOVERED :-  Gold Chains : < 1 Kg. & Two motor cycles.

v  Total gold Mangala sutras chains wg. 975 grams and one black colour Unicorn bike bearing No. AP 29 MM 3588(Fake Number ) and Honda Activa bearing No. MP 04 SD 9973 which were used in commission of above chain snatching cases by accused were  seized from them in pursuance of their confessional statement (.)  Total value of stolen properties is Rs. 27 Lakhs. 

The Irani Gang members were arrested by LB Nagar Division Crime team consisting of Sri S. Murali Krishna, DI LB Nagar, Sri K. Sunil, DI Saroornagar, Sri S. Laxman, Sri T. Avinash Babu DSI’s and Crime staff of LB Nagar Division and interrogated them thoroughly under the supervision of Sri Tafseer Iqbal, IPS DCP LB Nagar, Sri P. Venugopal Rao, ACP LB Nagar.  The above gang voluntarily confessed to have committed total 32 snatching offences in various Police Stations in the limits of LB Nagar Zone, Cyberabad Commissionerates.
