Lalu Prasad Challenges Narendra Modi To A Debate In English
After the fiasco about Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's meeting a tantrik went viral a few days ago, now, RJD (U) chief Lalu Prasad, has piled on the gimmickry by openly challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a debate in English on "burning issues".
A collection of clips compiled in a video and posted on YouTube, was shared by Prasad on his Twitter feed.
The video, which shows an old interview of Prasad by an English news channel, where he is talking about the progress of Indian railways in heavily accented, though (mostly) correct English, basically mocks Modi when he uses the term 'pessimist' instead of 'optimist' in an (again) old speech given in Gujarat.
"If not in English he can have debate in Hindi also on all the burning issues but I'm afraid he avoids challenges (sic)," said Prasad on Twitter.
The race for winning the the state assembly polls in Bihar has intensified with all the bigwigs in politics holding rallies and swearing their dedication to the progress of the state.
