The Centre’s directive to all state governments not to conduct interviews for junior-level posts like Group-II and III has halted recruitment notifications in Telangana.
The Telangana government had earlier announced an exam pattern giving 75 marks for interviews for Group-II posts. But with the Centre’s directive, the state government has halted issuing of Groups notifications without taking any view on interviews, affecting over 10 lakh job aspirants who are waiting for job notifications for over six years.
The TS government had received a communication from the Centre’s Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on September 14, asking it not to conduct interviews for junior-level posts.
It may be recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his 69th Independence Day speech on August 15 this year had called upon state governments to avoid the practice of conducting interviews for junior-level posts.
