DIVERTING ATTENTION – 04-HELD
The Commissioner’s Task force, East Zone Team, Hyderabad, apprehended a Diverting Attention gang with the following members who have committed 08-cases of Diverting Attention offences in various Police Stations of Hyderabad City and recovered Gold chains whg. 15 Tulas and 04-Cell phones, from their possession.
Details of Arrested Accused persons: -
1) Shaik Anwar @Anil, S/o Late Chotu Bai, age 21 yrs, Occ.Labour, R/o Painter colony, Bahansapadi, Nizambad.
2) Shyam Suresh Pawar S/o Suresh Pawar, age 32 yrs , Occ: Labour, R/o Painter Colony, Bahanswadi, Nizambad.
3) Shaik Saleem @ Kattu, S/o Sidhu, age 23 yrs, Occ: Labour, R/o Painter Colony, Bahanswadi, Nizambad.
4) Gul Mohammed S/o Late Hassan Ali, age 39 yrs, occ: Business R/o Kuja Colony, Nizamabad. (Receiver)
5) Nanna N/o Nizamabad (Absconding)
Property Recovered: -
1.Gold Chains Whg. 15 Tulas
2.Four Cell Phones
Modus Operandi: -
Shaik Anwar @ Anil, Shyam Suresh Pawar, Shaik Saleem @ Kattu hails from Nizamabad District. The gang target the gullible people, who go by walk alone and one of the gang members would intercept the victim introducing himself as he is working in his owner’s house and informed to victim that, his owner blessed with a son / girl after long time and distributing/donating Sarees, Chappals and money to nine peoples and he requested her to come along with him. As such the victim went along with the accused and then the accused requested the victim to remove gold ornaments from her, on the pretext that sarees are distributed to poor people only. When the victim believes his version, the victim removes her Gold ornaments and keep in a bag. The accused then divert her attention and in some instances they place artificial ornaments wrapped in paper already with them into the victim’s bag. Though all the four gang members come for offences, as per the requirement, 2 or 3 or 4 would directly participate in the offence and rest would be at nearby places watching the developments. When offence is successfully completed they escape from the spot.
On the tip off given by Sri A. Sudhakar, Sub-Inspector of Police, of the Commissioner’s Task Force, East Zone Team, Hyderabad, police apprehended the accused at Secunderabad Railway Station, Gopalapuram, and recovered gold ornaments whg. 15 Tulas and 04-Cell Phones, from their possession.
The above arrests were made under the supervision of Sri N. KOTI REDDY, Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad, by Sri CH. SRIDHAR, Inspector of Police, East Zone Task Force, Hyderabad and SI’s Sri A. Sudhakar, Sri S. Shekhar Reddy, Sri A.Ravi Kumar, Sri G.Rajulu, and the staff of East Zone Task Force Team, Hyd.
