HYDERABAD:  Union minister of state for labour and employment Bandaru Dattatreya will tour Kolanupaka village in Nalgonda district on Saturday to interact with villagers and know their problems. Dattatreya adopted the village as part of Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY). Kolanupaka has an internationally-renowned Jain temple.
Dattatreya will interact with farmers and others and enquire about their grievances for redress and make Kolanupaka a model village like the ones he has adopted in Warangal district.
Dattatreya has also adopted two villages under SAGY in Warangal district. The two villages are Sannur, famous for Lord Venkateshwara temple, and Annaram Sharief which has a famous Dargah.
The main objective of SAGY is to turn model villages as nuclei of health, cleanliness, greenery and cordiality within the community. In the two Warangal villages, village committees have been formed and a proposal for laying a road at a cost of `4.5 crore has been submitted.
