NEW DELHI: The ministry of external affairs has tweeted emergency helpline numbers in the aftermath of the haj tragedy near Mecca.
The numbers are: 00966125458000 and 00966125496000
Toll free number for pilgrims in the Kingdom is 8002477786.
Earlier, the ministry tweeted that the Indian mission in Jeddah was closely monitoring the situation following the stampede.
At least 310 pilgrims were killedwhile an Indian was among the 450 people who were injured in a horrific stampede during the haj pilgrimage in the Saudi Arabian holy city of Mina on Thursday.
The tragedy took place less than two weeks after a massive crane fell in the grand mosque at Mecca, killing over 100 and injuring more than 200 people.
