Rajnath Singh praises jawans during his visit to ITBP posts in Ladakh
Ladakh, Sept. 23 : Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who visited Indo-Tibetan Border Police posts along the India-China border here today, praised jawans for their courage, enthusiasm and vigilance, saying that the nation is proud of them.
"Want to say our jawans are protecting our borders with courage, enthusiasm and vigilance. We are proud of them. I came here to see how the facilities at the border area and to examine circumstances in which our jawans are doing their duty," the Home Minister told .
Singh, who is on a three-day visit to forward areas of Jammu and Kashmir along the India-China border, had earlier said that there were issues of road connectivity and telecom connectivity in Ladakh region where ITBP personnel are serving at very high altitude.
Union Home Minister had travelled to DBO, Track Junction, Murgo, Burtse, Chungtash, Chusul and Chumar Border Outs Posts (BOPs) yesterday.
Earlier, on the first day of visit, Rajnath Singh had visited the ITBP camp at Samba in Jammu region.
Addressing the jawans, he had said that terrorism, infiltration and border transgression should be stopped by the neighbours for better relations with India.
