Nandyal police busted a brown sugar racket by arresting 16 persons of Mahabubnagar, Kurnool and Anantapur Districts
and seizing 450 grams of brown sugar worth about Rs. 25 lakh from them.During vehicle checking on Kurnool to Nandyal bypass junction, Nandyal III Town circle inspector Venkataramana and staff seized the brown sugar from a Maruthi Swift car bearing registration No. AP21 AA 2242
and arrested five inmates. Police also seized the car,16 mobile phones and a motorcycle which was used as a pilot for the car carrying drugs.
