Bengaluru: Teen girl commits suicide after being stripped and photographed by four youngsters

 The police are said to have arrested Krishnamurthy and Mohan while they are on the look-out for the other two.

Sangeeta, 15, was studying in the ninth standard in a government high school. She took her own life after being stripped and photographed by four young men. A report in Deccan Chronicle states that she left behind a suicide note alleging the same. 
The police has reportedly arrested Krishnamurthy and Mohan while they are on the look-out for the other two. Meanwhile, Sangeeta’s family has alleged that the police were negligent because they didn’t take up their case on Saturday itself.
Sangeeta committed suicide on Monday and was found hanging in her house by her father when he came back from work. In her note, she alleged Krishnamurthy, Mohan and his friends were the reason for her suicide. The boys apparently dragged her to a place where they stripped her and clicked pictures of her.
Sangeeta had reportedly gone to the police station herself and spoke about how Krishnamurthy and Mohan had assaulted her. The police had registered a non-cognisable case and sent everyone home. Sangeeta’s family has accused the police of not filing a complaint based on Sangeeta said and this resulted in her committing suicide they allege.
The news report states that the police are sceptical whether Sangeeta really wrote the suicide note. The note reportedly states: “They (the accused) will say this is not my hand writing but I have written this.” The investigation is still on.
