PRESS NOTE

LAKE POLICE RESCUED THREE PERSON (ONE MALE, ONE FEMALE AND ONE CHILDREN ) FROM COMMITING SUICIDE

    In the intervening night of 1st/2nd of October 2015, PS Lake officials has rescued three person i.e., one Female, one Male and one Children a their particulars are 1) Sri. MD. Mujeeb, 2) MD. Shahan and 3) Poppi. Sumalatha were all rescued, while they were about to commit suicide by jumping into the Hussain Sagar Lake. The Details of the victims are as follows:-

First incident:  Occurred on 01.10.2015 at 2200 hours near upper tank bund at Pooja stal;

Details of Victim:

• MD. Mujeeb, s/o MD. Mahamood Miya, age 26 yrs, occ:- scrap business, r/o: 1-4-554/24, Anjuman school lane, backside of Badi masjid, Musheerabad, Hyderabad.

Reason: On causing enquiry, he revealed that he got marriage with Smt. Ghousya and blessed with one male child. i.e., MD. Shahan who is now 3 years old. The victim used to work as a Scrap business at his residence. Victim’s wife used to quarrel with him upon petty issues. The victim warned her so many times to change her behaviour but she did not heed to him. Last night, he went to home from his shop and again she quarrelled with him on a petty matter. He fed up on her wife’s behaviour and decided to end his life and hatched a plan to commit suicide for which he came to upper tankbund along with his 3 years son (MD. Shahan). On seeing his suspicious activities near upper tank bund at Pooja stal, the available Lake PS i.e., blue colts identified and caught him and brought to PS Lake. After thorough counselling, victim was handed over to his family with the help of one PC of PS Musheerabad.

SECOND INCIDENT:  It is occurred on 01.10.2015 at around 2345 hours at upper tankbund near Lepakshi:

Details  of Victim:

• Smt. Poppi. Sumalatha w/o. Sri Poppi. Srinivas, age: 24 years, occ:- House wife, r/o:- 1-2-366/9, Bandanagar, Domalguda, Hyderabad.

Reason: On causing enquiry, she revealed that she got marriage with Sri. P. Srinivas in the year 2009 and blessed with a male child. Victim’s husband is a pvt. employee very often goes to job, earns less income and spend his income lavishly. The victim asked many times to change his attitude but he did not bother at his house hold requirements. She further stated that her husband quarrels with her oftenly without any reason, as usually last night she fought with her husband, due to which she fed up with her husband’s behaviour and decided to commit suicide.

• As such Lake Police played a vital role in saving them spontaneously without giving any scope for untoward incidents for which they have saved the lives of  people viz., 1) Sri. MD. Mujeeb, 2) Chi. MD. Shahan and 3) Poppi. Sumalatha, while in two incidents which occurred in between 01.10.2015 at 2200 hours to 01.10.2015 at 2345 hours.

• Smt.K. Sreedevi, Inspector of Police, Lake Police Station counselled them promptly and they were safely handed over to their relatives by duly taking their assurances that they will not repeat such things in near & future.

• Thus, the patrolling Blue Colts of Lake PS viz., Sri. Satyam, PC 2981, Sri. Abhilash, PC 4007, Sri. Kishan naik, HG 5036, and Sri. MD. Hussain, HG 9753 have tactfully identified the above persons in a suspicious manner and rescued them from committing suicide which was done under the supervision of Smt. Sreedevi Inspector lake P.S. On that the officer & her staff will be suitably reward as a token of recognition of their good work in saving  lives.

Note:- During the year 2015 so, far (147) lives have been saved by the Lake Police.
