PRESS NOTE
LAKE POLICE RESCUED A WOMAN & HER TWO CHILDREN FROM COMMITTING SUICIDE

                        On 05-10-2015 at 23.20 hours Lake Police rescued a woman namely Smt. S. Lavanya from committing suicide in Hussain Sagar as she vexed with her life due to harassment of her husband.  Details are as follows:

Name:-   Smt. S. Lavanya, W/o. S. Suresh, age 22 years, Occ: Maid servant, R/o: Unnikota, Opp. Mallaiah Hotel, Kavadiguda, Hyderabad.

                        On causing enquiry, the victim revealed that she got married with        S. Suresh and blessed with two children i.e., 1) Sai charan, age:- 5 years, 2) Mounika, age:- 3 years. Her husband (S. Suresh) is a chronic alcoholic and used to beat her daily on petty issues also he suspects his wife’s character, yesterday night also he went to home in a drunken condition and beat her black and blue, as she was unable to bare her husband’s torture and came to Upper Tank Bund near pooja sthal and tried to jump into the lake along with her two children. 

                        She came to Upper Tank Bund near pooja sthal along with her two children and tried to commit suicide by jumping into the lake. Immediately, the available patrolling lake police noticed the victim under suspicious manner and stopped her from jumping into the Hussain Sagar Lake.
                        Inspector Lake K. Sreedevi counseled her, after that handed over to her brother and send them to Gandhinagar Police Station for legal action.
                        Thus, the patrolling staff of Lake PS Sri Satyam PC 2981 and Sri Hussain HG 9753 and Sri Shankar, HG 2590 have timely identified the victim & her two children and rescued from committing suicide, which was done under the supervision of  Smt. Sreedevi, Inspector lake P.S. On that the officer along with her staff will be suitably rewarded to them as a token of recognition of their good work in saving a life.
Note:- During the year 2015, (152) lives have been saved by the Lake Police.
