PRESS NOTE

LAKE POLICE RESCUED TWO PERSON (ONE MALE, ONE) FROM COMMITING SUICIDE

    In the intervening night of 09/10 of October 2015, PS Lake officials has rescued two person i.e., one Female, one Male and their particulars are 1) Sri. Malkapuram. Satyanarayana, 2) Smt. Maddi. Sreelatha were all rescued, while they were about to commit suicide by jumping into the Hussain Sagar Lake. The Details of the victims are as follows:-

First incident:  Occurred on 09/10.10.2015 at 02.00 hours near upper tank bund at Pooja stal;

Details of Victim:

• NAME:- Sri. Malkapuram. Satyanarayana s/o Late. M. Mogulaiah, age:- 54 years, occ:- pvt employee, r/o:- 5-1-141/1, poosala basthi, jambagh, afzalgunj, hyd.

Reason: On causing enquiry, it came to know that the victim is married person and blessed with one male (M. Mahesh, occ:- software employee). The victim is a alcoholic and quarrels with his family members regularly for petty issues. His family members asked him to stop alcohol he never heed to them. As usually last night he went to home in drunken condition and started quarrelling with his family members. In depression came to upper tankbund and planned to commit suicide by jumping into lake water and came in a fully drunken condition.

SECOND INCIDENT:  It is occurred on 10.10.2015 at around 13.45 hours tankbund opp NTR garden :

Details  of Victim:

• NAME:- Smt. Sreelatha w/o M. Srinivas, age:- 33 years, occ:- house wife, r/o:- Plot no 48, brundavan colony, champapet, hyd.

Reason: On causing enquiry, it came to know that the victim is a married person and blessed with two male children and leading conjugal life happily. And also we got to know that she is a psychiatric patient. 8 years back victim’s mother got expired due to which she went into depression and facing psychological problem. She is undergoing treatment at Asha Hospital, banjara hills, hyd. The victim fed up on her health condition and planned to commit suicide and jumped into the lake water immediately our patrolling lake police noticed her and saved her life. After counselling, she was handed over to her husband by taking assurance from her that she will never repeat this again.

• As such Lake Police played a vital role in saving them spontaneously without giving any scope for untoward incidents for which they have saved the lives of people viz., Sri. Malkapuram. Satyanarayana, 2) Smt. Maddi. Sreelatha, while in two incidents which occurred in between 10.10.2015 at 02.00 hours to 10.10.2015 at 13.45 hours.

• Smt.K. Sreedevi, Inspector of Police, Lake Police Station counselled them promptly and they were safely handed over to their relatives by duly taking their assurances that they will not repeat such things in near & future.

• Thus, the patrolling Blue Colts of Lake PS viz., Sri. Subba rao, PC 3935, Sri. Raj kumar, PC 3358, Sri. Karthik, HG 6916, and Sri. Sai krishna, HG 7488 have tactfully identified the above persons in a suspicious manner and rescued them from committing suicide which was done under the supervision of Smt. Sreedevi Inspector lake P.S. On that the officer & her staff will be suitably reward as a token of recognition of their good work in saving  lives.
