Today i.e., on 11-10-2015 the Cyber Crime Police, CCS, DD, Hyderabad arrested three accused person, who had posted pirated films of recently released movies like. Rudramdevi, Bahubali, Balebale Magadivoi, etc. on private websites like., www.movierulz.to, www.onlinemoviesnmusic4u.com, onlinefullmoviez.com, online24movies.com, fullmoviezz.net, www.moviesnhackss.com, www.mnhmovies.com etc.
Facts of the case:
On 10-10-2015, received a complaint from Sri. Gunasekhar, Occ: Director of Rudramadevi, R/o Plot No. 42, Phase – 1, Kavuri Hills, Extension of Road NO 36, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, that rampant Online and physical Piracy of his film Rudramadevi, thereby eroding Revenue of the film. He further mentioned that he is the producer and director of the Telugu Feature Film Rudramadev, the Epic story of the great Warrior queen of the Kakatiya dynasty. The film is the first ever Historic Stereoscopic 3D feature film of India, released in Multiple languages on 9th Oct’2015. It’s the labour of love of thousands of technicians, against all odds, and the hard work of top artists for three long years, made at a staggering cost of crores of Rupees. This important cinematic work that showcased the inspiring tale of Rudramadevi, won the appreciation of our Honorable Chief minister of Telangana Sri. KCR garu, and he was kind enough to grant tax exemption for this film.
But it came to light on a different note that online piracy of Rudramadevi broke out on the same evening of the Film’s release. And in this today’s digital age, the speed with which these pirated copies will spread will have a devastating effect on the film’s prospects. A website called Movierulz.to first uploaded the movie on their website and it is spreading rapidly on the internet. The Anti Video Piracy cell of Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has gathered a list of notorious pirated websites, as also few notorious cam cording, online piracy syndicates whose details are also provided herewith. Hence, requested for urgent and stringent action against these culprits and also advise all the ISPs (internet service providers) to block the pirated content of the film Rudramadevi for providing immediate relief.
Basing on the above petition a case in Cr.No.300/2015, U/Sec 43 r/w 66 ITA Act 2008 & Sec 420 IPC and Sec 63 of Copy Right Act-1957 is registered and investigation taken up.
Modus Operandi:
The following accused,
A1. Prashanth Chaitankar S/o Rajendar Chaitankar, age 20 yrs, Occ:
Student, R/o HNo.10-45, Srinivas Nagar Colony, RC Puram, Hyderabad
A2. Pavan Kamble S/o Ambha Das, age:20 yrs, Occ: students, R/o 19-43
Bombay Colony, RC puram, Hyderabad,
were nabbed for committing the offence of Piracy and cheating the public with
dishonest intension to earn easy money.
The accused Prashanth Chaitankar is doing B.Tech final year at Institute of Aeronautical Engg, Dundigal. Due to financial crisis, so he along with his friend Pavan Kamble , decided to operate movie sites and earn money on the advice of Soma Shekar (classmate). As per his advice, they copy the pirated movies links from the website called www.movierulz.to and post it on their websites, and earn easy money through the POP-UP ads on their websites.
The accused so far have purchased about 12 websites like., a) www.onlinemoviesnmusic4u.com, b) streamnada.com, c) moviezwatch.com, d) fullmoviezz.net, e) moviezwatch.net, f) streamtout.net, g) entertainment24x7.net, h) techotricks.com, i) techomedia.com, j) friendshipdaycelebration.org, k) fathersday2k15.com, etc., from www.bigrock.in, www.bigrock.in and www.1and1.com, godaddy.com, from September 2014, at different intervals.
They collect the links of pirated movie links from www.movierulz.to. (open movie link and view page source and find the Iframe link and copy the same in their website post> add new>Title box- enter the name > and past the Iframe link in Text tab> publish) and so far they have posted about 1200 movies, in their above websites.
Very recently, they even posted the Rudramadevi pirated movie link released on 10-01-2015, from www.movierulz.com, in his website but later removed it as they got the notice from the film chambers.
So far the above accused have purchased about 12 websites for running these pirated films and they have earned about 1700 $ so far by uploading about 1200 films, were nabbed and seized their 2 CPUs and one internet router and two mobile phones were seized.
A3. Tanveer Ahmed S/o Shabbir Ahmed, age 30 yrs, Occ: Business, R/o H-No:
3498, MIG 2nd phase, BHEL, RC Puram, Hyderabad is also nabbed for
committing the offence of Piracy and cheating the public with dishonest
intension to earn easy money from the public.
Another accused Tanveer Ahmed is MBA graduate from St. Xavier PG college, Gopanpally, Near Gandipet. After his studies he started an export business styled as Tasmaaz Exports but ran into losses. As such he decided to go for website hosting, operating, making income by posting advertisements in the form of POP –Ups on the net. As such he purchased 2 domains namely www.moviesnhackss.com and www.mnhmovies.com from godaddy.com for making easy money. He takes the information of the latest pirated films like Rudramadevi, Bahubali, etc., details from a Website called www.amaderforum.com, www.torrentz.in. From there, he gets links and transload (processes) them through a Website called www.leafleech.com which provide thumbnails and direct free link of the pirated movie. Later, he renames it and uploads/hosts the links on free websites like., i) www.24uploading.com, ii) www.hugefiles.net iii) www.zippyshare.com, iv) www.1ficheir.com, v) www.uptobox.com, vi) www.uppit.com, vii) www.bdupload.net, viii) www.solidfiles.com, ix) www.vodlocker.com, x) www.widggtco.to , xi) www.mediafire.com, xii) www.videoweed.es, xiii) www.clicknupload.com xiv) www.arabloads.net, xv) www.mega.co.nz, etc., later, he copies the pirated film link along with the thumbnail, in his Website www.moviesnhackss.com. As and when the customer clicks on his website link, they will be redirected to the above hosted websites for the download. He post all types of pirated films, i.e. Hollywood, Bollywood, Tollywood etc. very recently, he even posted the Rudramadevi pirated movie link released on 10-01-2015, from www.amaderforum.com, in his website but later removed it as he got the notice from the film chambers. In this business, for lack of time he took the help of his friend Joanne Francis, R/o Mumbai who met him on Orkut (social media). He shares the pirated movie links and asks her to post them on his Website; she is moderator for few of his films; so far we have posted about 2050 film links on his Website. He even has another Website namely www.mnhmovies.com, which is operated by his Brother Zafer Ahmed (left for Saudi), who posts the piracy film video links, from www.torrentz.com www.extratottentz.com. He gets money from the ads which he posts along with the piracy film video links on his Website. The amount gets transferred to his Paypal account tanveerpossible@gmail.com, from there to his Bank account State Bank of India, Tellapur. By posting these piracy film video links, on the Websites he earns about Rs.15,000/- to Rs. 20, 000/- per month.
After nabbing the accused his Sony laptop and his mobile were seized.

Team lead by Inspector P. Raju, SI Sri. G Venkatrami Reddy, SI Madan, and PCs: H. Shekar, M. Rajender, and PC Kareem have cracked this case and apprehended the accused, under the heedful supervision of, Smt. Swathi Lakra IPS, Addl. CP for Crimes & SIT, Sri. K. Vijender Reddy, Addl DCP, DD, and Dr. B. Anuradha, ACP Cyber Crimes
