P R E S S N O T E
Hyderabad City Traffic Police invites citizens of Hyderabad to associate and render service as Traffic Volunteers. Citizens having passed 8th standard and are in the age group of 25 – 50 years eager to render service as a volunteers may apply in the prescribed proforma available in the traffic Police Station nearest to their locality. The Citizens have the option of rendering service in the following categories.
- Traffic regulation
- Traffic awareness
- Rendering service in the implementation of Technology.
- Traffic Engineering
The following requirements must be fulfilled by the Citizens interested to render service.
- The Citizens should not have any criminal background.
- The Citizens so selected are not be eligible for any pecuniary benefits and will have to serve selflessly without misusing their status as volunteers.
- The selected citizens shall be imparted a three day orientation session on their responsibilities as volunteers at Traffic Training Institute, Goshamahal, Hyderabad.
The rights of enlisting and removal of volunteers will be vested with the Addl.Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Hyderabad City and will be undertaken on objective grounds.
The Charter of duty, the dress code, the application form and other details are available with the Traffic Police Stations in Hyderabad City and the interested Citizens are advised to obtain the same at the nearest Traffic Police Station of their locality for applying for the Traffic Volunteer Service.
