The Telangana State Press Academy has given away cash award to
S.Venkanna, Reporter of Telugu Daily of Nalgonda District for his
commendable bravery in capturing live photographs of terrorists
carrying weapons which culminated into an encounter with the police and
death of Sub-Inspector of Police on 4th April, 2015 at Arvapalli village
of Nalgonda District.
Sri Allam Narayana, Chairman, Telangana State Press Academy handed over a Cheque for Rs.10 thousand to S.Venkanna in his chambers here on Tuesday in the presence of LLR Kishore Babu, Secretary and S.A.Hashmi, Manager, Telangana State Press Academy.
Earlier, the Chairman, Telangana State Press Academy announced the cash award to the Reporter for his exemplary bravery risking his life and termed the award to be a morale booster for all other budding journalists covering different news stories in such situations.
