 Skin-whitening Products- Action

Some types of skin-whitening products use active ingredients which can be harmful and should be used only on prescription by a dermatologist.

The Inspectors of DCA, Telangana conducted State-wide raids against selling of Pharmaceutical based Fairness/Whitening Creams on 6th & 7th October 2015.

13 Cases have been registered under Drugs & Cosmetics Act.

Stocks worth Rs. 29,791/-   have been seized and Rs. 90,000/- have been frozen following the raids.

The following brands were seized:

3. Cute Skin Cream
4. Carofit max cream
5. Eukroma Cream
6. Eukroma plus
7. Skin bright cream
8. Clear skin cream
9. Smuth cream
10. Hadensa
11. Evershine fairness
