The sleuths of CCS Kukatpally apprehended (6) Panchaloha
Idol offenders and recovered (3) Ancient Panchaloha Idols of Lord
Chennakesava Swamy, Bhudevi and Sridevi which belong to 12th Centuary,
all w/o more than Rs. 1 Crore pertaining to Cr No: 92/2015 U/s 457, 380
IPC of PS Mogullapally of Warangal Dist.
Details of the accused persons:
A-1) Kondabattini Bixapathi S/o Late Venkataiah, Age: 75 years, Occp: Priest, Caste: Padmashali, R/o: H NO: 1- 3, Tenuguwada, Vangara Mandal, Kareemnagar Dist, Telangana.
A-2) Buneni Sampath, S/o Venkulu, Age: 25 years, Occp: Agriculture, Caste: Nayakapu, R/o: Andugulameda Village, Venkatapur Mandal, Warangal Dist, Telangana.
A-3) Gurrala Shankar, S/o Rajaiah, age: 27 years, Occp: Laborer, Caste: Vaddera, R/o: Sitarampuram village, Ghanapur mandal, Warangal dist, Telangana.
A-4) Reddy Ravi, s/o Rajaiah, age: 38 years, occp: Agriculture, caste: mudiraj, R/O: Anandapuram village, Venkatapur mandal, Warangal dist, Telangana.
A-5) Lenkala Mallaiah, s/o Gattaiah, age: 32 years, occp: Car driver, caste: Yadava, R/O: Jangalapally village, Mulugu mandal, Warangal dist, Telangana.
A-6) Nune Mallaiah, s/o Rajamallu, age: 55 years, occp: Agriculture, caste: Mudiraj, R/o: Kondapur village, Ghanapur mandal, Warangal dist, Telangana.
How The accused persons committed crime:-
A-1 is native of Vangara, Karimnagar Dist and A-2 to A-6 are residents of nearby villages of Warangal Dist and all are Agriculturists and labour. A-1 told them that the idols of Lord Chennakesava Swamy, Bhudevi and Sridevi are in Parlapally Village of Mogullapalli (m) of Warangal Dist are very precious and earlier they were stolen by some other offenders. He also lured them that the said idols are worth of crores of rupees in international market and they can be sold at least for 50-60 Lacs to the needy rich people. Hence, they hatched a plan to commit theft of said idols. In the intervening night of 15/16.07.2015, on the advice of the accused A-1, the accused A-2 to A-6 came to Parlapally (v) with two bikes and parked them in the outskirts and guarded with accused A-5 & A-6. They accused A-1 met the A-2 to A-4 and shown the Chenkeshava Swamy temple where the Idols locked and left from there. While the A-4 was guarding the outside the temple, A-2 & A-3 broke open the lock of the temple during night and committed theft of Lord Chennakesava Swamy, Sridevi & Bhudevi panchaloha idols and decamped on motor cycles, later they kept the idols with A-4.
APPREHENSION OF THE ACCUSED :-
On credible information, while the accused were trying to
sell the ancient panchaloha idols of Lord Chennakesava Swamy, Bhudevi
and Sridevi at Vasanth Nagar, KPHB, under the guidance & strategic
planning of Dr. B.Naveen Kumar, IPS, DCP Crimes, the CCS Kukatpally team
led by Sri C.Harishchandra Reddy, Inspector of Police, SIs Sri K.
Balaraju, Sri K. Rajendra, Sri B. Ravi Kumar and the staff under the
supervision of Smt. T.Usha Rani, ACP Crimes, did tremendous work in
apprehension of the above offenders and confiscated the said (3) idols.
The accused persons are being handed over to the Station House Officer,
P.S. Mogullapalli of Warangal Dist for further action. Details of the accused persons:
