No ban on Animal slaughter – Hyderabad Collector pleads ignorance of press note. .
Mr. Rahul Buja, Collector of Hyderabad District pleaded ignorance on the release of press note banning animal slaughter on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. Talking to Siasat News, he said that he is totally ignorant of the notification issued by his office. Soon after he got this information, he clarified that no ban has been imposed on sacrificing animals on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. This practice would continue as per the last year without any interruption. He also clarified that his subordinates issued this press release without bringing it to his notice which would be investigated.
The office of the Collector of Hyderabad issued a written clarification in which it was stated that in the press release issued yesterday routine orders were issued about the prevention of cruelty against animals and also the transportation of animals which have no bearing on the sacrifices arranged on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
