Dear Sir,
We would like to draw your immediate attention on the visit of controversial MP Yogi Adityanaga to address the gathering called “Hindu Chetana Sabha” slated to be held at NTR Stadium in Hyderabad on Sep 13, 2015 ahead of Vinayaka Chaturthi (Ganesh Utsav).
Sir, Yogi Adityanag is notorious for delivering hate speeches. He is facing charges of inciting communal tension in Gorakhpur, the Lok Sabha constituency which he represents. He has also delivered provocative speeches against Muslim community on several occasions in different parts of the country.
In view of the notorious background his visit to the city and proposed speech in “Hindu Chetana Sabha” slated to be held in Hyderabad on Sep 13, 2015 ahead of Vinayaka Chaturthi (Ganesh Utsav) might trigger communal tension and disturb the Law & Order situation. There have been instances of communal violence in the past on the occasion of Vinayaka Chaturthi (Ganesh Utsav) and therefore steps should be taken to prevent recurrence of such incidents. The entire month of September is highly sensitive as many festivals are coinciding in the said month and It is also to state that some communal elements also trying to flare up communal tension in Telangana State in view of Sep 17, 2015 celebrating it as liberation day and by stopping transporting of animals for the Eid Al Adha falling on Sep 24, 2015 and Ganesh immersion falling on Sep 27, 2015.
Therefore the Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) strongly opposes the visit of the controversial BJP MP and requests you to deny him permission to address any meetings, rally or gathering in Hyderabad.
