Living Hell in Pakistan..........

Living Hell in Pakistan: Pro-India Voices in PoK Brutally Crushed

It is being reported that youths refusing to join the cause of jihad are routinely picked up by the ISI and tortured. Protestors said on camera that the Pakistani establishment had no right to use force on them and some went on to add that India is better than the neighbouring country.
The  youths protesting against the Pakistani government in Muzaffarabad, Gilgit and Kotli and several other areas of PoK. The Pakistani establishment’s use of brutal force in order to quell the rebellion , proves that Islamabad’s claims against New Delhi’s alleged attempts to suppress people living in the valley are nothing but hollow.
It is also being reported that the local administration has misconstrued any hint of disturbance in the Kashmir Valley as unrest and revolt.
The Pakistani establishment has remained silent and no comment has been made from their side.
The sheer scale of protests, the swelling crowd and its vehement demand for freedom from Pakistani aggression is a clear indicator that these protests cannot be termed as sporadic.
The police and the Pakistani Army have been deployed in large numbers to quash such protests.

Ban on Crackers...........

The Parents of the Infants Demanded a Ban on Crackers

Three infants from Delhi, aged six to 14 months, have approached the Supreme Court, seeking a ban on the use of fire crackers.
Having been termed the “youngest petitioners ever”, the infants – six-month-old Arjun Gopal and Aarav Bhandari, and 14-month-old Zoya Rao Bhasin, moved the apex court through their advocate daddies, assisted of course by their supportive mommies to claim their right to clean air, that has been guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution.
The Quint spoke to the parents of Zoya Rao Bhasin, Saurabh Bhasin and Gauri Rao, who told us why they decided to include their children, as they are the most vulnerable section of society.
Gauri, Zoya’s mother, who is currently in London, raised a very strong point. She says keeping kids indoors, in fear of pollution, is no way to bring up a child. Children should have access to clean air in order to fully live their childhood.

Hyderabad Transwoman Claims Abuse by Mall Security, Seeks Apology

Vyjayanti Vasanta Mogli, a well known LGBT activist was stopped from entering the mall in Hyderabad

When Vyjayanti Vasanta Mogli, a well known LGBT activist and transwoman from Hyderabad, paid a visit to a popular mall along with a few of her friends on Sunday afternoon, they were taken in for a rude shock.
We were standing near the ticket counter, when a man who was staring at us shouted ‘Kaun ho tum log? Yahan kya kar rahe ho?’ (Who are you people? What are you doing here?).
— Vyjayanti
Vyjayanti was with Shyam Konnur, another LGBT activist and Madhumati, her other transgender friend as various members from LGBT collectives in the city had decided to watch a movie together. Vyjayanti and her friends had arrived first.
Since he was a little far off, we thought he was talking to someone else, and we ignored him. However, he came closer and then started shouting at us again saying that ‘our kind of people’ were not welcome there.
—Vyjayanti
The man then went on to flash a security badge at them, and continued to hurl abuses at them in front of around 50-60 people.
The security guard then profusely apologised for his behaviour, but Vyjayanti has given a written complaint.but has not yet received a response from the GVK Mall in Hyderabad,

Mumbai Train Blasts: Five Get Death Penalty, Life Term for Seven

A Mumbai sessions court has handed the death penalty to five out of the twelve convicted in the 2006 serial train blasts. Seven of those convicted got life term. The prosecution had sought death for eight people.
Special MCOCA Judge Yatin Shinde pronounced the sentence two weeks after he found the 12 guilty in the blasts that claimed the lives of 188 and injured 829 commuters.
There were seven blasts in first class suburban railway compartments in 2006.
Special public prosecutor Raja Thakare had sought death for bomb planters Ehtesham Sidduiqui, Asif Khan, Fai sal Shaikh, Naveed Khan and Kamal Ansari. In addition to the five accused for planting the bombs, death has also been sought for key conspirator Dr Tanveer Ansari, Mohammed Ali, who provided his house in Govandi for bomb-making, and Sajid Ansari, who made timers and the electric circuit used in the bombs.
The sequence of events on the fateful day in July was as follows:
  • Seven RDX bombs had exploded in the first class coaches of Mumbai’s suburban trains on July 11, 2006, killing 188 people and injuring 829
  • The blast occurred between Khar Road-Santacruz, Bandra-Khar Road, Jogeshwari-Mahim Junction, Mira Road- Bhayander, Matunga- Mahim Junction and Borivali
  • The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested the accused between July 20, 2006 and October 3, 2006, but ran into controversy in November the same year when the accused gave a written submission to court that their confessions were coerced
  • In a trial that lasted for eight years, the prosecution examined 192 witnesses, including eight Indian Police Service (IPS) and five Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers as well as 18 doctors
  • The defence lawyers examined 51 witnesses and one person was called as a court witness
  • Kamal Ahamed Ansari (37), Tanvir Ahmed Ansari (37), Mohd Faisal Shaikh (36), Ehtesham Siddiqui (30), Mohammad Majid Shafi (32), Shaikh Alam Shaikh (41),

  • Azam Chima, along with 14 others, is absconding in the case Examination of witnesses resumed after two years since the Supreme Court had stayed the trial in 2008
  • Before the stay, the prosecution had already examined a police officer. The Supreme Court vacated the stay on April 23, 2010

Did an Innocent Man Deserve to Die, Even IF he Consumed Beef?

Mohammad Aklaqh (left photo) was lynched to death by an angry mob that accused him of cow slaughter. His son Danish (right photo) suffered serious head injuries and is fighting for life in a Noida hospital.

58-year-old Mohammad Akhlaq was woken from his sleep on 28 September by an angry mob. They first went for his refrigerator, found some meat, then resorted to abusing, and finally picked up some bricks from under his bed to smash his skull.
This happened in Bisahara in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. A well-connected village, only 60 kilometres from Delhi.
Mohammad Akhlaq’s 22-year-son Danish, who came to his rescue, is currently fighting for his life in a Noida hospital.

And his 18-year-old daughter Shaista, who was groped and molested, says she even recognised some of the neighbourhood boys who were part of the mob.Her 70-year-old grandmother, who has a black eye and bruises all over her body, prays incessantly for Danish’s recovery. “After Akhlaq, Danish is our only hope”, she says.

“It Wasn’t Beef”

In Uttar Pradesh, cow slaughter is illegal, but consumption isn’t. Laughably, the meat found in the family’s fridge was sent for “forensic tests” and news reports quoting UP government sources say that it was not beef. The result of this test is relevant only to prove that the rumours were false and could point to a larger conspiracy to create tension in a Hindu-dominated village, having only two Muslim households. Moreover, the village has never witnessed communal tension before.

The angry mob, which held a meeting at the Bada Temple, first got into a heated argument with Akhlaq over cow slaughter. He pleaded that the food in his fridge was mutton left over from Eid. The mob didn’t pay heed and went on a rampage, ransacking his house, assaulting the women and ultimately killing the 58-year old.
We’ve been living here for generations and never before have we felt like we were the only Muslim family in Bisahara. We’re shocked that none of our neighbours came to our rescue.
