PRESS NOTE
LAKE POLICE RESCUED TWO PERSONS FROM COMMITING SUICIDE
       On 20/21 of January 2017, P S Lake officials has rescued TWO persons i.e., one male and one female and their particulars are 1) Smt. Jakkamsetti. Kalyani and 2) Sri. Alwal. Preaveen kumar, were all rescued, while they were about to commit suicide by jumping into the Hussain Sagar Lake. The Details of the victims are as follows:-

First incident:  Occurred on 20/01/2017 at 19.30 hours Jumped into water near upper tank bund Children’s park.

Details of Victim: Smt. Jakkamsetti. Kalyani w/o Sri. J. Kiran babu, age:- 26 years, r/o:- Plot no:- 31, near Hanuman temple, RTC colony, Chintalkunta check post, LB nagar, hyderabad.
Reason:  On causing enquiry it came to know that the victim performed settled marriage in the year 2015 with Sri. J. Kiran babu and leading conjugal life happily. In the month of September 2016 the victim’s mother had expired due to some health problem. Due to her mother’s sudden death she went into depression on 20-01-2017 at about 19.30 hrs she came to upper tankbund near Children’s park and jumped into the Hussain Sagar lake water with the intention to commit suicide. The available police noticed her and jumped into lake water and saved her life. Inspector Lake Smt. K. Sreedevi counselled both the wife and husband after counselling they both were sent to Barosa counselling centre along with WPC for further counselling.  
SECOND INCIDENT:  It occurred on 20.01.2017 at around 20.10 hours upper tankbund near Love Hyd.

Details  of Victim:- Sri. Alwal. Praveen kumar s/o Late. Sri. A. Shankar, age:- 41 years, occ:- Real estate (Mediator), r/o:- Plot no:- 44/A, opp Furniture world, balaji colony, Kaka guda, kharkana, Secunderabad, hyderabad.
Reason:  On causing enquiry the victim, he revealed that he is a married person and blessed with two children and leading conjugal life happily. He works as a Mediator (Broker) in Real estate business. Few months back Sri. Vikram met with the victim with a proposal to sell his plot which is located at West Marredupally by offering brokerage amount of 1% at the time of registration. But after registration of that plot Sri. Vikram refused to give the deal amount of 1% to victim.  He went to Vikram many time and requested to give his brokerage amount but he never listened to his words and abused victim in a most filthy language. Due to which the victim went into depression and wrote a suicide note and left his house on Date:- 16-01-2017 in the evening hours with the intention to commit suicide & roamed here and there for four days and came to tankbund on 20-01-2017 at about 20.00 hours planned to jump into the Hussain Sagar Lake water immediately available Lake police noticed him and stopped him by jumping into the water. Inspector Lake Smt. K. Sreedevi contacted with Karkhana PS to know whether any Missing Complaint registered there. After counselling the victim was handed over to Karkhana PS for further action.
As such Lake Police played a vital role in saving them spontaneously without giving any scope for untoward incidents for which they could saved the lives of people viz., 1) Smt. Jakkamsetti. Kalyani and 2) Sri. Alwal. Preaveen kumar. These two incidents were occurred on 20/21-01-2017. Smt. K. Sreedevi, Inspector of Police, Lake Police Station had counselled them promptly and they were safely handed over to their relatives and concerned by taking their assurances that they will not repeat such things in near & future.
Thus, the patrolling Blue Colts of Lake PS viz., Sri. K. Nagaraj, PC 3569, Sri. F. Srinivas, PC 9720, Sri. Srisailam, HG 1922, Sri. Muzafar ali, HG 4024 and Sri. Anwar hussain, HG 3030, have tactfully identified the above persons in a suspicious manner and rescued them from committing suicide.
