    Cyber Crime Police of CCS, Detective Department, Hyderabad, apprehended one accused Boaz Augustin who created websites namely borgenergy.com & borgsolar.com claiming that the company has installed major Solar Power Projects all over the world and has many patents to its credit. The accused lured complainant and others claiming that Borg Energy India Pvt., Ltd., is subsidy of Borg Inc. USA which is the largest solar power equipment manufacturing company in the world. He offered to finance and build a solar power project of 3 MW initially in a Debt/Equity ratio of 90:10 on payment of 10% of the project cost to M/s. Borg Energy India upfront and promised to provide loan from his company Borg Capital Pvt. Ltd. The accused collected appox. 80-100 crores as upfront advance amounts from various companies and individuals from all over India

 FACTS OF THE CASE:

    On 23-06-2016, received a complaint from Sri K. Narsi Reddy, Managing Director of M/s Sushee Ventures Pvt., Ltd., Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, stating that one Mr. Boaz Augustin CMD of M/s Borg Energy India Pvt., Ltd., approached M/s Sushee Ventures claiming Borg Energy India Pvt., Ltd., is subsidy of Borg Inc. USA and claimed that they have installed over 1000 MW of solar power around the world and they are largest solar power equipment manufacturing company in the world. He offered to finance and build a solar power project of 3 MW initially in a Debt/Equity ratio of 90:10 for Sushee Ventures on payment of 10% of the project cost to Borg Energy India upfront. M/s Sushee Ventures Private Limited paid Rs 90 Lakhs (upfront of 5% equity). Later the project was hiked to 23 MW by Borg. Thereafter the other accused along with Mr. Boaz Augustin pressured Sushee Ventures to pay Rs. 48 Lakhs more as 1% upfront Advance Equity for 23 MW project. Under threat of losing the project, they paid Rs 43 lakhs to Borg. Since the project was not proceeding further and the accused had suddenly become non-committal after having received Rs 1.38 Crores. When Sushee Ventures made enquiries and came to know that Borg Energy India is a sham company and Mr. Boaz have been cheating by collecting crores of rupees. Immediately, a formal e-mail communication was sent withdrawing from the aforesaid 23 MW Solar Power Project on 1st October 2015 and Sushee Ventures thereafter sought for return of the amounts paid to Borg. The accused Mr. Boaz Augustin, CMD, Borg Energy India Pvt., Ltd., fraudulently induced M/s Sushee Ventures to pay Rs. 1.38 Crores.

    In this regard, a case in  Cr.No. 143/2016, U/s 406, 420 IPC & 66 (C) (D) ITA Act, 2008, was registered at CCS, Detective Department, Hyderabad and investigated into.

    During the course of investigation, the bank statements of complainant and accused companies, details of Directors from the Registrar of the Companies pertaining to M/s Borg Energy India Pvt., Ltd., Call Data Records of the accused were collected. Various accounts of the accused were freezed to the tune of Rs. 2 crores. With the help of clues on hand, the Cyber Crime sleuths traced the accused Mr. Boaz Augustin R/o. Madurai, Tamil Nadu and arrested him.

DETAILS OF THE ARRESTED PERSON

Boaz Augustin @ David Boaz, Chairman & Managing Director, M/s Borg, Energy India Pvt., Ltd., R/o H.No: 60/26, Vishuvasapuri, 5th Street, Gyanavolipuram, Arapalayam, Madurai, Tamil Nadu.

        There are seven cases registered against the accused in Telanaga, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Delhi etc. and many complaints are filed against him in various police stations.  Most of the victims are from Delhi.  A Whatsapp group of about 40 victims from all over India has been created by the victims to help each other.  Various civil cases and arbitration cases including a cheque bounce case of Rs. 39 lakhs are pending against the accused all over India.

The team headed by Sri P.Ravi Kiran, Inspector of Police,  consisting of team members SI Sri S.Naresh, SI Madhusudhan, Constables V.Maheshwar Reddy & MD Feroz located and apprehending the accused person.
