Stop Animal Sacrifice on Ayudha Pooja
As per the Andhra Pradesh Animals and Birds Sacrifice (Prohibition) Act  no.15 of 1970 and as per The prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960 sacrificing of any Animal or Bird  for the purpose of any  religious worship is illegal. Under section 2,3,4,5 of the Act  sacrificing of  Animals or Bird is punishable offence under section 6 and 8 of the above Act  and  three month jail term is the punishment. Several directives have been issued by various Govt. Department.  Even though Sacrifice is being done at various religious premises, Govt. Offices, Factories and public places.
It is known that even though the Act, since last many sacrifices are made in various public places and religious places and  this use to come in media from time to time. It is expected that as usual  this year also on the occasion of AYUDHA POOJA (VIJAYADASHMI)  on 11-10-2016 large scale sacrifices of  animals will  take place in the state at  every  nook  and  corner of the streets and public places.
In this regard a representation has been made to the Director General of Police, APSRTC, South Central Railway and Commissoner of Endowment Dept. for Complete Ban on Sacrifices in public  places and religious places and requested  them to issue circulars immediately to all the department TO STOP THE SACRIFICING of Animals and Birds.
Public is hereby requested through Media not to sacrifice any Animals on the occasion of AYUDHA POOJA (VIJAYDASHMI). If they find any type of Animals Sacrifices please inform Special squad consisting of Special Police Officer (PC A Act) and volunteers of Sahayog organisation,Bharatiya Prani Mitra Sangh, local police station etc. Last year also special squad caught hold of the offenders performing sacrifices at various places.
