PRESS NOTE

LAKE POLICE RESCUED A MAN FROM COMMITING  SUICIDE

              On 12/13-10-2016 at 12.30 hrs PS Lake rescued a man i.e. Sri. B. Karthik s/o Sri. B. Srinivasa rao, age:- 16 years from committing suicide in Hussain Sagar. The particulars of the rescued man are as follow:-

• Name:- Sri. B. Karthik s/o Sri. B. Srinivasa rao, age:- 19 years, r/o:- Chinna ganuga pallem (vill), adanki (mandal), prakasham (dist), A.P.

• On causing enquiry it came to know that the victim is studying Intermediate 2nd year in Sri chaitanya jr college at Prakasham dist. Last week the victim went to his residence for Dussera holidays. On 11-10-2016 in the evening hours the victim’s grandmother scolded him for asking money from his father for his lavish things. Due to which he went into depression and came to upper tankbund near lepakshi and tried to jump into the Hussain sagar lake water.
• By taking hasty decision, he came to upper tank bund and tried to jump into the Hussain sagar lake water. Immediately, the available patrolling Lake Police noticed the victim under suspicious manner and saved his life.
• Inspector Lake, Smt. K. Sreedevi counselled him, after counselling handed over to his parents.
• Thus, the patrolling BC of Lake PS Sri. C. Sai kirana, PC 4295 and Sri. G. Santosh, PC 5686 have tactfully identified the victim and rescued him from committing suicide, which was done under the supervision of Smt. K. Sreedevi, Inspector Lake P.S. On that the officer will be suitably reward to them as a token of recognition of their good work in saving a life.
