ROBBER SWALLOWS FOUR TOLA MANGALSUTRA FEARING ARREST. .
Hyderabad: In a bizarre incident, a robber ended up swallowing a mangalsutra fearing he would be caught.
Vikas (22) snatched the 4 tola of gold mangalsutra from Prameela when she was heading towards Sitaphalmandi railway station along with her husband, Shankarayya. Following a complaint the police traced Vikas but to their surprise found out that he had swallowed the mangalsutra fearing arrest.
The police rushed Vikas to the nearby private hospital where the doctors found mangalsutra in the lower part of the abdomen.
Since an operation would prove fatal, the doctors reportedly told that the gold ornaments could be recovered within a week during excretion.
However, both the police and doctors are still confused as to where Vikas should be kept in custody and how mangalsutra they can recover the precious metal.
