Rs. 50 lakh for Independence Day celebrations at Golconda Fort
The Telangana Government on Thursday sanctioned Rs. 50 lakh for making necessary arrangements for Independence Day Celebrations at Golconda Fort.
The funds will be utilised for catering and light refreshments, furnishing arrangements at function places, photography and videography charges, purchase of trophies, flags, National Flag, ID Cards, bouquets etc., rent for Rani Mahal Lawns of Golconda Fort and floral decoration at Raj Bhavan etc., on August 15.
The Chief Minister will unfurl the National Flag at Rani Mahal of Golconda on the occasion of Independence Day this year.
Chai to bring Chandrababu and KCR together on Independence Day
Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao are scheduled to meet on August 15.
Raj Bhavan will be the venue for this crucial meet.
The two arch rivals are expected to meet at a customary tea party, hosted by the Governor of the two states every year, at Rajbhavan, on the eve of Independence Day.
KCR and Chandrababu were seen together with Governor ESL Narasimhan last year. The duo had enthusiastic conversation and shared giggles surprising audience.
Ever since the cash-for-vote scam broke out, the reason between the two CMs reached to a breaking point. The war of words have been continuing and the bitterness between them hit rock bottom.
Recently, KCR stayed away from the state banquet hosted by the governor in honour of President Pranab Mukherjee in Hyderabad citing health issues.
Now it remains to been whether both the CMs meet this time to work towards strengthening relations between AP and TS or skip the event.
