ARREST OF ONE LOCAL PASSPORT BROKER ALONG WITH TWO S.B. PERSONNEL.
On 17-8-2015, a Team of Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team apprehended one passport broker Ahsan Zia Ansari, aged: 37 yrs, one S.B. Constable Basheer Ahmed and one Home Guard SK Saleem attached to Passport Verification Cell for conspiring in arranging Indian Passports to the illegal immigrants of Myanmar and others. The police seized one Original Indian Passport, Aadhar cards, Voter IDs and cell phones etc. from the possession of Ahsan Zia Ansari.
A1. Ahsan Zia Ansari N/o. Mumbai currently r/o of Misrigunj Hyderabad. He was educated at Mumbai and came to Hyderabad in the year 2003 in the search of Job. Initially he performed odd jobs and later on he switched over to DATA entry operating system, during this period, in the year 2012, he met with one Mohd Javeed N/o. Myanmar R/o. Shaheennagar who used to arrange Aadhar cards at Aadhar enrolment centre, Moghalpura for Myanmar Refuges by fraudulent means by showing them as local residents. Further, Ansari came contact with one Basheer Ahmed, SB constable and took his help for obtaining Indian passports for illegal immigrants of Myanmar Nationals. For doing official favour he used to bribe Basheer Ahmed and one Home Guard Saleem. Saleem colluded with them by diverting the verification of passport applications to S.B. PC Basheer Ahmed. In this process, they arranged Indian Passports to the illegal immigrants to the Myanmar Nationals by charging them heavy amount.
A2. Basheer Ahmed, SB constable (2007 batch) is working at S.B. South Zone for the past 4 ½ years. In the year 2013, January Basheer Ahmed came into contact with A1. Ahsan Zia Ansari while causing verification of character antecedents of the passport applicants. S.B. constable colluded with Ahsan Zia Ansari for doing official favour by taking illegal gratification.
A3. A Home Guard by name SK Saleem who is attached to the Passport Verification Cell used to divert Passport applications particularly to Basheer Ahmed and accepts illegal gratification through on line transactions to his Bank Account from the account of Ahsan Zia Ansari for doing official favour.
One Original Indian Passport belonging to Ahsan Zia Ansari, Xerox copies of Passport applications, Aadhar cards, Voter ID cards, Birth certificates and Affidavits and Mobile phones from all the three offenders were seized as material evidence.
A case is registered and being investigated by Sri. K. Rama Rao, Inspector of Police, SIT. Efforts are being continued to collect evidence as to how many such Passports are arranged by these offenders and the persons to whom such passports are arranged and their current locations. From the information gathered so far these illegal immigrants are obtaining Indian passports by paying heavy amounts and visiting Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on tourist Visa
The above arrests were made under the supervision of Sri. N. Koti Reddy, Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad assisted by Sri. Thakur Sukhdev Singh, Inspector of Police, South Zone Task Force, and SI’s Sri. G. Mallesh, K.Venkateshwarlu, SK Jakeer Hussain and D.Venkateshwarlu and the staff.
