Property Offenders Caught by Malkajgiri Police. .17 lakhs Property recovered. .Two arrested. ..
The Medipally police have arrested two notorious criminals, who resorted to (4) cases of chain snatchings and (2) vehicle thefts. The details of the arrested accused are as follows.
1 Edulakunti Naveen, S/o Venkata Swamy, 21 years, Caste; SC, r/o H.No. 9-4-5/3/1, Hakeempet, Tolichowki, Golconda, Hyderabad.
2 Karipe Raju @ Raju @ Durga, S/o Late Yadagiri, 27 years, labourer, r/o H.No. 2-75/3, New Tulasi Ram Nagar, Golnaka, Amberpet, Hyderabad
Background:
It is in view of the series of chain snatchings and vehicle thefts that were taking place in the limits of Medipally police station, the Inspector of Police, and Detective Inspector of Police, Medipally P.S., organized intensive patrolling, mobilized their staff and served day & night beats in the area to achieve breakthrough by apprehending the criminals besides organizing vehicle checking round the clock.
The efforts of the police crowned with success with the apprehension of the above two criminals on 14.08.2015.
The I.D party of Medipally P.S., have apprehended the duo accused on 14.08.2015 near Boduppal, when the duo were found moving under suspicious circumstances. The apprehended accused were subsequently brought to Medipally Police Station, where they were interrogated upon. It is with their interrogation, the following (4) cases of chain snatchings and (2) cases of vehicle thefts could be detected, the details of which are listed below.
1). Cr.No. 161/2015 U/sec. 356, 382 IPC of PS Malkajgiri.
2). Cr.No. 167/2015 U/sec. 356, 382 IPC of PS Medipally.
3). Cr.No. 326/2015 U/sec. 356, 382 IPC of PS Medipally.
4). Cr.No. 411/2015 U/sec. 356, 382 IPC of PS Medipally.
5). Cr.No. 517/2015 U/sec. 379 IPC of PS Medipally.
6). Cr.No. 518/2015 U/sec. 379 IPC of PS Medipally.
It is with the arrest of the above criminals, 10 tolas of gold ornaments, and two motor cycles, all worth Rs. 4,30,000/- could be seized from the arrested offenders.
Of the above cases the accused Edulakunti Naveen involved himself in 2 cases of chain snatchings, 2 cases of vehicle thefts in the limits of Medipally PS besides involving himself along with Karipe Raju in 1 case of chain snatching of Medipally and 1 case of chain snatching of Malkajgiri PS.
The above two offenders could be arrested with the strenuous efforts of Sri N. Amarvardhan Reddy, Detective Inspector of Police, Medipally P.S., actively assisted by Sri Naveen Babu, Sub-Inspector of Police (Crimes), Medipally P.S., and his posse, who worked out all the clues and made concerted efforts to detect the cases. The investigation was done under the supervision of Sri M. Ravichandhan Reddy, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri Division, who guided the investigation crew from time to time to recover a large chunk of properties.
The officers and men, who are involved in the detection of these cases, are being rewarded suitably. The good work which was accomplished by the above officers was appreciated by the Dy. Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri Zone, Cyberabad.
