On 21-02-2017 at 1700 hours received a complaint from Smt. Sagar Droupathi w/o Dasarath, age. 60 years, Occ: House wife r/o Plot No. 13/BC Shankarnagar colony
Chandanagar stating that the complainant’s husband, son and daughter in law are away from home, when she was alone in the house, at about 1330 hours two unknown
persons who weared helmets knocked the door. When she opened the door one of them asked about for sale of the plot. In the meantime while she was giving answer,
another person threatened her on the point of knife and pushed her on the ground demanding to the show gold ornaments otherwise he would kill her. They gained
entry into the house and searched valuables in the almirah and after that went into the bed room of his son and broke open the steel box and committed theft
of gold ornaments about 5 tulas. They are in the age group of 25-30 years spoke in Hindi wearing with jean pants. Hence she requested for taking action.
On receipt of the above complaint a case in Crime No. 141/2017 u/sec 392 IPC was registered and investigated into.
During the course of investigation Chandanagar Police visited scene of offence promptly and verified in all aspects. On verification, the features of scene of
offence are not matched with that of robbery. The petitioner Smt. Sagar Droupathi could not give the descriptive particulars of the suspected persons.
She stated that the offenders escaped on the motor cycle. On verification of nearby CCTV footages there was no movement of helmet wearing persons on motor cycle.
She gave vague answers on examination by Police. Today on through examination the complainant admitted that she created fabricated story as she has not having
good terms with her daughter in law, as well as she is suffering with mental ill health. She has hidden the property i.e. gold ornaments under
the stair case in her house. The property was recovered.
