Hyderabad, February 22:
The leader of Opposition in Telangana
legislative council Sri Mohammed Ali Shabbir today termed the police
action against the unemployed youth rally ( Nirodyoigula Rally ) as an
undemocratic and despotic act of the KCR Government
to foil peoples movements .
Addressing a press conference on the police zulum on unemployed youth of the T-JAC Sri
Shabbir said youth were hounded like animals from their homes
and dragged into police vans like criminals. The students and unemployed
youth were beaten up put in cells in police stations like petty
criminals allover Hyderabad city for their only
sin of asking the government to fulfill their poll promise of providing
two lakh jobs .
The LOP demanded a white paper on the
status of vacancies and also the jobs created by the TRS government
since 2014 and also the promise of unemployment stipend given to youth
in the state.
Condemning the brutal police brutality n
unemployed youth he charged the Telangana government of undemocratic,
anti-people and also an inhuman treatment of unemployed youth on the
streets of Hyderabad as they planned to protest
peacefully against the TRS governments false promises. 'Where are
your promises and concern for unemployed which you made during elections
and shed crocodile tears for them ' he asked.
He said it was a black day of Telangana
that the TRS government which boasted itself as a ' champion of
peoples movements ' has so violently and crudely stalled the peaceful
rally of the unemployed Telangana youth. The congress
party had wholeheartedly supported the Chalo Hyderabad rally of the
unemployed youth. in recognition of their genuine demands and
aspirations .. By using police force to stall the peaceful rally of
unemployed, rights ofthe KCR govt has trampled the
constitutional and rights of youth to protest against the injustices
and false propmises made by political parties in the elections.
He said the use of brutalforce and police
action has become a black spot on Telangana and damaged self dignity
of the Telangana people. . ' KCR perhaps thought he was a moinarch
and not an democratically elected CM and
should beware that all dictatorships and satanic rules have always
been dusted in history ' he warned .
The LOP said that it was a travesty of
injustice and political oppression that the Telangana police had
arrested the former Secunderabad MP Sri Anjan Kumar Yadav who went
to meet the T-JAC chairman Professor Kodandaram
at the Kamatipura police station . ' KCR can not stem the youth
movement with arrests and political repression ' .
Sri Shabbir Ali urged KCR Govt to take
lessons fas to how patiently, democratically and peacefully the
Congress Govts had handled the Telangana agitation ' Why arrest the
youth for seeking jobs ,. You have imposed dictatorship
in Telangana by usurping positions for your family and friends '
You lathi charge youth for questioning your promise of twoi lakh
jobs ?', he quipped .
The LOP said that KCRs days will be
numbered if he followed the foot steps of dictators and despots
and used force to foil democratic and peoples movements . It
willbe in all fairness for KCR to end the Police
Raj and apologize to the students and release them from jail unconditionally . TRS Govt. should immediately fill up 1,05,000 Vaccancies and allso issue a white paper on the vacancies -sector wise .
Mr. Vamshi Chand Reddy, MLA who was planning to visit Dindi Project was also arrested by Police ,he said.
