A Notorious Cheating Gang.............

A Notorious Cheating Gang captured by the Rein Bazar Police force
The incident of a fraudulent gang duping a man and escaping with cash worth Rs. 5 lakh, has happened near the Rein Bazar police station in the South Zone, Hyderabad. The victim, Mr. Muhammad Ajaz Khan, a 24-year old cloting businessman has lodged a complaint about the fraud with the Rein Bazar police station.
The police who have begun the investigation about the gang, have diligently captured four people near the Yakutpura railway station on 02-12-2016 at 10 p.m. Upon investigation, the culprits have revealed the following information.
The complainant Mr. Muhammad Ajaz Khan S/o Mehmood, who is 24 years old, has met Mr. Praveen, a resident of Bowenpally, during his work at a cloth shop in Patny Center, Secunderabad. Praveen made Khan to believe that his friends in Bangalore, Srinivas and Ravi, have an ancient copper vessel which possesses the Rice-pulling power and that the vessel is worth crores of rupees in the national and International markets. Khan has fallen into the trap of Praveen and he began to visit Srinivas and Ravi along with Praveen to witness the copper vessel. Alongside, Srinivas and Ravi have also tricked Khan stating that they have discovered a method by which they can double any currency note. Influenced by temptation, Khan has called Srinivas on 17-10-2016 to send the people who can double the currency to his home. Therefore, Srinivas sent two men from Bangalore namely 1. Maksood Ahmad Khan @ Saleem @ Y and 2. Rajagopal @ Yetta, to Khan’s house. The two men have known about the currency possessed by Khan beforehand and they prepared bundles of black coloured papers according to his currency. The two men arrived to Khan’s place on 18-10-2016, at around 8 p.m., along with the bundles of black coloured papers. According to their plan, the two men have kept aside an original 1000 rupee note which is blackened by tincture iodine and gum and they took the Khan’s original 1000 rupee note. Then they took a white paper which is equal in size and shape of the Khan’s note and they applied dettol on the white paper and on top of it they placed the original note, so that the paper gets an impression of the original note. Then they have applied tincture iodine and gum on the paper, making it to blacken. Then they diverted Khan’s attention and replaced the blackened white paper with that of their blackened original note. Then, they washed the blackened original note using hypoliquid, making Khan to believe that he got his original 1000 rupee note and another 1000 rupee note. They asked Khan to check the note by exchanging it in any shop. Khan exchanged the note and believed them. Therefore, Khan gave Rs. 5 lakhs, including his money and the money he saved for his sister’s wedding, to the two men. The two men asked Khan to bring hot water, during which they replaced the Khan’s currency with the bundles of black coloured papers. They dipped the black coloured papers in the hot water and they covered it with a cloth, stating to Khan that it would take another 24 hours for the currency to get doubled and that they will arrive the next morning to take their commission of 30% from the doubled currency. The two men tricked Khan and escaped with the cash worth Rs. 5 lakhs.
Rice Pulling :
Ravi @ Ravindra @ Venkatesh, Srinivas, Narasimhappa @ Venkatappa are men who purchased a copper vessel in a shop and burned the vessel in order to make it look like an ancient artefact possessing the rice-pulling and supernatural powers and that it was found in an ancient temple site. They deceive people for money by stating that the Iridium power in the vessel is used in rockets, satellites and by various Defence Research Organizations, making it have a great demand and value in the international markets.
  1. Srinivas.
  2. Ravi @ Ravindranath @ Venkatesh.
  3. Maksood Ahmad Khan @ Saleem @ Y.
  4. Rajagopal @ Yetta.
  5. Narasimhappa @ Venkatappa.
  6. Chandra.
  7. Praveen.
The above mentioned men have formed a gang and they have been committing the anti-social activities in the form of duping people in the name of Rice-pullers and currency doubling, in the major cities such as Hyderabad, Bangalore, Vijayawada, Ananthapur, etc. Starting from Bagepalli, Chikballarpur district in Karnataka. However, the Rein Bazar police force has been swift and intelligent in capturing the gang.
