During the fortnight i.e. from 01-08-2017 to 15-08-2017 as many as 364 cases of Drink and Drive have been booked against the violaters in the limits of Cyberabad Commissionerate and were produced before the concerned courts. A total of 40 persons were convicted with imprisonment ranging from 2 to 13 days and above and collected fine amount 33,470 rupees.

The Ganesh festival event.....Cyberabad Police commissioner Sandeep Shandilya has given some instructions

In order to make the Ganesh festival event peaceful and sucessful
Cyberabad Police commissioner Sandeep Shandilya has given some instructions (guidelines) to the organisers of the ganesh pandals.organisers should get NOC from concerned police station. Organisers apply online through the Cyberabad police website and submit the print copy to their concerned police station.

Cp has issued instructions/guidelines for erection of Ganesh
pandals, idols and immersion processions for the ensuing ‘Ganesh
Chaturthi’.

- The police imposed a ban on loud speakers and would only
permit box-type speakers, which should not exceed 55 decibels
during morning hours and 45 decibels in the night. These
should be used only between 6 am and 10 pm during the 9-day
festivities.

- Guidelines have also been issued regarding safe electric wiring
to avoid short-circuits and arrangement of parking places at
particular distance from pandals to avert traffic congestions. –

- Usage of banners, colours and fireworks is strictly restricted.

- The police appealed to the religious leaders not to deliver
speeches and statements against other religions, and the people
to maintain the city clean.

- Organisers have to take NoC from the owner of the premises
where the idol is to be installed and the same has to be placed in
such a way that it does not violate peace and flow of traffic. -
No unauthorised electricity connections would be allowed for
pandals, the police said.

- Box type sound systems should be used instead of loud speakers
and sound systems should not be used during the night between
10 pm and 6 am as per High Court order.

- Those installing idols in the cellars of building complexes and
those taking them out for processions would have to apply for
clearance.

- The commissioner categorically stated that in the name of the
festival, no collection of 'chanda' would be allowed.
